Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship
Open to boys and girls ages 10 to 14. Sponsored by Knights of Columbus Council 10961. Will be held on Sunday, Feb. 12, 2012 at Nativity of Our Lord School, 900 W. Midway Blvd. Registration begins at 3 p.m.; competition begins at 3:30 p.m. Winners advance to district and state competitions. International champions are announced by the K of C international headquarters based on scores from the state-level competitions. District event scheduled for Monday, Feb. 20, at Thornton Community Center; state event March 3 in Colorado Springs. Pre-registration is not necessary. To benefit Flatirons Habitat for Humanity from 3 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 12, at Chipper's Lanes, 100 Nickel St. Cost: $200 per team of up to five players, includes shoe rentals. Lane sponsorships: $250, includes recognition on lane backdrop Friday through Sunday prior to event. Lane sponsorship and team registration: $400. Non-bowling guests: $10.
