No that is not what it is, because if you watch, after every single card this happens. Some new guy, or a fighter thats been around for a while but hasn't made a name for himself, does well and all of a sudden Junkie blows up. It happened with Melvin. Look where Mr. Guillard is now? Anyone who can think for themselves and not have the MMA media tell them whats going to happen could have told you Melvin would lose that fight. But there was a very loud contingent that had him as the champion before he even fought a contenders matchup.
But no, he's the next champ the next GOAT the next GSP. Seriously this has been going on for over a year , there was a short time of objective thinking probably before the Brock Lesnar era where the knee jerk fans came in. I can hardly read the articles anymore and its not just from Junkie (probably the second place site IMHO but still sensational), it's MMA journalism it's a freaking circlejerk it really is.
