International investment banks and global strategy consulting firms kick-started the final placement process for the Post Graduate Programme (PGP) in Management batch of 2010-12 at the Indian Institute of Management in Ahmedabad on Monday.
Among the firms that recruited graduates, Boston Consulting Group made the maximum number of offers by hiring 17 students from among the first cluster of placements that took place.
The list of recruiters included McKinsey & Co., Boston Consulting Group, Bain & Co., AT Kearney, Credit Suisse, HSBC, Oliver Wyman and Accenture. These firms offered roles in their India offices as well as a few jobs in international locations such as London and New York.
BCG recruited 17 PGP students. IIMA continues to be one of our core campuses for recruitment and we look forward to continue recruiting in large numbers, in line with our rapid business growth, said Ravi Srivastava, partner and director at Boston Consulting Group.
Following the cohort system that was introduced in 2010, investment banks and consulting firms that have been traditional recruiters at IIMA make a beeline for fresh graduates.
