There's long been an awareness of the relationship between Total Rewards Statements and employee satisfaction, productivity, and retention. Kemper Corporation used the statements as a key component of its internal branding initiative, which a growing number of organizations are undertaking to better align and focus their workforce with new and emerging business challenges.

In November, the previous personnel director left and the company moved to align the HR and commercial departments, as they had synergies in areas such as training. The previous HR structure meant silos had emerged in the business and Orchid,
